I will get to it when I can. Barrel Proof is a ATF legal term like bottled in bond. Barrel proof means the bourbon in the bottle is the same proof as when it was barreled. Quite a few go up in proof as they age in the barrel, so some are left that way on purpose as a cask strength or barrel strength, though they no longer meet the legal definition of barrel proof.Ducks4brkfast said:Examples of these?proc said:

Clear as unfiltered bourbon? If I've got it wrong, call me out on it, because I'd like to get this right in my own head.
