mr bs downtown is where I can usually get blantons or pliny or colonol Taylor. I'm about 5 min from there just NW of downtown.

Try Austin. More taters, flippers, IG whiskey *****s, and fellow whiskey nerds than you can shake a stick at. I'm convinced Austin is one of the top 5 worst cities in the US to attempt to purchase good whiskey in. Maybe Houston is too but at least it's a huge city and you can drive around hunting for hidden gems. Austin... not so much.

That dude is something else. He's also in a couple of beer groups, and his thing is going overboard chasing whatever the latest thing is. At one point I remember him showing a pic with hundreds of bottles of various Prairie private barrel beers.

Worth it to buy, drink every now and then and keep on the shelf for a long time because it's a neat bottle and to have some wow factor in your selection.

If you're going to buy it and finish the bottle in 3-4 months, then probably not but that's just me.

So I don't know if you all heard but it was a shot show at specs today on Hulen. Line of around 17 people. First 3 folks loaded up around 10 cases each of smoke wagon . All gone by around the 10th person.
