I'm a big fan of what Barrell is doing with their bourbon batches. I do not like the infinity bottle. At all. Single malt whiskey takes over.

I have the 2020 new year's but haven't opened it yet. I don't recall the 17 being noteworthy like the 18 is. Batch 18 is outstanding. I also like 19 and 21. I wouldn't recommend batch 20 and I passed on 22. 23 is good.

I missed the whole allocating of bottles, but put me on the waitlist for when people drop out. To be quite honest, the process seems fun and exciting enough I'll be in even if its something that doesn't excited me that much on its face. My very own Aggie bourbon would be pretty dadgum cool.

Nothing wrong with Single Malt being front and center.

Do you not like single malt, or is it just that its to heavy on the single malt, or perhaps not a pleasant one?

I have a store here in Houston that has already given me approval that he will bring in barrel picks a small group of friends and I are after.

I am sure he would bring it in for us and then we can tote to College Station. People could pay over the phone or work with him to setup some other platform.

I think all this says is there are more people from Houston on this thread.

I voted for Houston, but am not opposed to going to CS.

Thanks. Where are they located? I have a store in Pasadena area that I know the owner and he works with HBS to bring in lots of store picks. I want to have a store locked down pretty quickly. Im still hoping someone can provide contact info for a store in College Station.

I asked how many they do and he says the do 20 a year. Might be a winner since they do so many barrel picks and the owner is an Aggie who doesn't post, but who knows about Texags

Got a couple bottles in today! If anyone is looking for the various Blanton's in DFW area I can get them for you from a guy in Belgium. I've bought about 10 Black, Green, Gold, SFTB from him over the last year and am willing to do it for his price and not charge a markup if it's something you're interested in.

Went bottle shopping today.
There's a liquor store off Fry & W Little York (S&R Liquor) next to a Kroger that had several bottles of Knob Creek 12 Yr for $57/bottle....Yamazaki 12 Yr for $200.....and finally...Weller Full Proof for $400. Grabbed one bottle of KC 12 year and bounced.

Ahhh yes...they also had a bottle of KC 25th Anny

Anybody pick this up and actually open it and give it a try. I know several hoarders have picked it up and are sitting on it for the secondary value. I wish people would leave one for the actual bourbon drinkers.

No it's a guy on FB that ships them to me. Quite a few of you have reached out and I'm getting some pricing from him on what he has now. I'm sure he's sleeping now. It's not cheap. Around $200/bottle.

Spec's got a bunch of it. Most of the Houston stores haven't received their shipments. North and west Houston should be getting some any day now.
