Can't believe how many liquor stores CS has now!

WA107, Blantons and EHT making the rounds in Houston this week. So far I've only seen the WA107. TW Humble maybe be putting out some of the WA107 tomorrow from what I was told.

Hit two TW's in Houston this morning - both had lots going on the shelves, and both stocked with WSR and BT, which they weren't a couple of days ago, so i suspect this is accurate

I've seen more WSR and BT on the shelves this week than I have in a long time. It's fully stocked.

Yup, specs at 290 and Jones had full shelves of WSR and BT. Nothing allocated though

Saw a post on the Arkansas FB group that said Jim Beam is doing a nationwide release of their Old Tub. I have gone through two of the 375 bottles from the distillery when it was only available there. I have always enjoyed their cheap limited runs like distillers cut and repeal batch at their price point. Looks like it will be $20 bucks or so for a regular bottle. The 375 bottles were about the same price.

They had Eagle Rare in the managers office less than an hour ago if you ask.

As of 2017 or 18 most were run down in not great areas and only sold cheap ****

Picked up a couple things that I don't see around Houston much just to have on hand.

When you guys go to Specs or TW, do you just ask any employee you see if they have a bottle of Blanton or do you have a strategy?

I've gotten 4 bottles of Blanton's in the past 6 months, and each time it's been because I've asked in conversation with an employee. It's been about approach, for me at least.

I have never come across Blanton's on the shelf or even visible behind the counter at TW.

I also believe TW always has it, and how and to whom they decide gets it is a mystery to me.

I got WA107 today at two different TW just by saying "I heard some of the other TW in the area have seen some WA107 this week, any chance y'all have gotten some in that you haven't put out yet?" Both said "yep let me go grab one from the back for you." They brought me one and put one on the shelf.

Specs are different depending on location. Some work off lists and others will give you what they have in the managers office if you just ask. I was looking for EHT at one today and they said no but we have some ER if you want it. I'm stocked up on that so I said thanks but I'll leave it for someone else.

I know several TW have had Blantons and EHT this week, but they've been out when I've been there. And I always ask.

Bought a WFP today. What happed to the secondary list? Want to see if I got a deal. It is a store pick.

That shelf really wasn't for sale. He had a TON of good stuff he would sell but prices were crazy.

WFP store picks are about $300-350 shipped on secondary.

I live right by Big's. I got excited when I walked in there for the first time until I saw the prices.
