EHTBP RHF is pretty close in secondary right now honestly
Idk what secondary you're looking at... I'm seeing RHF going for about $225 and EHTBP for about $375-400

PREFACE: I know what MSRP is. How crazy is $200 for Blanton's Black and $165 for Blanton's Special Reserve. I bought a few bottles of special reserve from a guy in Belgium last year for $135. He's now at $165 and offered up the black for $200. I never see these bottles in any of the groups I'm in so wanted to hear your thoughts. He also had Four Roses "Super Premium" for $185 which I hadn't heard of. Apparently it's the 4R they send to Japan.
Don't have to preach to me about life being too short...just opened a black last night in celebration of still being alive. I really didn't have any idea as to what the "market" is pricing these at though because I never see them for sale. Thanks for the info on your sale. Did you sell yours on a FB group?jftx04 said:agcrock2005 said:

Got rid of a Blantons black yesterday for 250. I think the black is much sweeter than the reserve. If you like it get it, life is too short to gripe about a few bucks.

One suggestion I would make is to try and match the proof up the proof the best you can.

These are a few of the bourbons only released in Japan. A couple mentioned previously.

I will take down some notes and rank them. I am thinking of putting my top two in my next blind tasting in order to really come up with a top 3 or 4 by the end of all this.
Any advice or direction on the lineup (or procedure) for tomorrow night is appreciated!

If you're going to Specs's and its available, grab a bottle of Belle Meade Reserve Cask Strength. A higher proof that what you've had so far, but a great bottle for the price IMO.

I look forward to never being able to find any of those bottles.
Ya there's no info on it yet. But it's probably the one I'm most interested in. Pretty much following the Woodford Double Oaked model, except starting with longer aged juice before going into the toasted barrel.CharlieBrown17 said:
No idea if the EC toasted barrel is a limited release or a line expansion.
