Hit 60 here today so wasn't really feeling the stouts so I went with this tonight. Maybe I'll break out the stouts again when it cools off come Monday.

bumping this.. anyone with experience in this area?

Monkish usually has a couple non IPAs on and Select beer store down in redondo was one of my hangouts when I lived out there. Both might be too far south for you. Right around LAX I'd offer el segundo although probably won't find much sour or Belgian stuff there.
Also a dive bar called Naja's near the Redondo pier right on the water will often have good stuff in a setting you definitely wouldn't expect.
