A little late but...Pacific City was awesome. Pelican had some good brews. We got taster trays, which was a taster of all the beers they had on tap (a total of 9). I wouldn't say there were any that I couldn't live without, but they were tasty, solid beers. Plus Pacific City is pretty much breathtaking.

Newport sucked. In our opinions, the food wasn't that great. We went to Rogue, and the wait was 20 minutes. It wouldn't have been that bad, but we were starving. We decided to just go somewhere else since we can get all the Rogue beers here in Portland. Our next coast town to visit will probably be Astoria.

There used to be a nice little restaurant there down by the water, the Lighthouse lounge.   but then new management came in with some old Italian lady and her two punk sons and were rude to the customers, especially kids.   You would think they would have a nice veal scaloppine or fettucini alfredo but no, they only served tongue.  Doubt I'll ever go back.

BSD - I heard they keep their retarded son chained up in the basement of the restaurant too. Pretty messed up.

Damn Fratelli's...but I heard they had a pretty sweet ORV.

I picked up some Oskar Blues Gubna, a Stone Guardian, a St A Homefront, some Karbach Rodeo Clown, and a Left Coast Hop Juice earlier. It's going to be a good weekend.

Drinking my first Endeavor tonight. Really great brew. Nice balance of citrus and dank hops. I really enjoy the aroma.

Met up with a guy from SA at Odell's. Traded a few Parabolas for 2 Endeavors, 2 Founders KBS', 2 Dark Horse Bourbon Barrel Plead the Fifths, and an Alesmith Speedway Stout.

Spartan, me too...saw more bottles today, so I might pick another up...

NColorado, I had 2 Endeavours tonight at Hay Merchant in Houston after dinner. That really is a quality beer and probably the only SA I'll buy with regularity. I also had the Oskar Blues Gubna which was pretty decent but went back to Endeavour.

I drink in my garage all the time!

Power is out here in College Station. Stuck right now with miller lite and almost out of beer. That's what my brother in law drinks. He's a bit redneck.

I do mine on the kitchen counter, wife probably thinks I'm a dork. But she knows I'm all about the 'beer thread'

There are a few that have been snapped on the kitchen counter, but if I do not have the under cabinet lighting on, the pictures turn out looking like crap...

...but my wife, to my knowledge does not know about the beer thread. Can't imagine the eye roll I would get...

As for the beer, not really a fan.

Did not like the Tasman at all. Tasted too burnt to me...

Decided to try a Saint Arnold's Summer Pils next...this bottle isn't much better. Tastes like a generic Pilsner to me.

not a fan at all. this tastes like nasty. one of the worst beers i've had.

but i will drink all of it.

maybe it's just all the beer talking, but i guess this isn't so bad. the herbs are just overhwelming.
