Specs in CS has the BBH Vanilla. Not sure if any of the HEB's got any. Haven't seen anything on Pirate Noir in town.

They make tasty beer. It's just that the base and barrel aged versions of Adam, Fred, Matt, and Doggie Claws always seem to suffer from quality control issues. Bourbon Fred from the Wood was one of the tastier beers I can recall, but had zero carb. It drank more like an aperitif than a beer.

But yeah, still saw at least 3 full cases when I picked some up tonight around 1030

seems like bbh (including respective f.u.n. series offerings pre label change) releases are getting rapidly crazier each time, but it's one of very few specialty local releases I feel like actually deserves some hype. there's just not a lot of beer releases to really get excited about here, so I hope karbach knocks some of these variants out of the park to change that. haven't tried vanilla yet, but I picked one up and am hoping for the best. I figure I'll love coffee when it happens, and if they do cherry I hope they don't just rerelease cherries of fire. that one definitely had room for improvement. if they can get a little creative from there and keep a somewhat steady pace on putting new quality variants out, **** could get interesting around here for a change.

also pirate noir is great, but boozy af. which doesn't bother me as much as some. still upset I never got to try pirate bomb but this helps fill that emptiness in my soul a little. maybe I can find someone looking to trade a bomb for a noir some day.

We tasted thru 4 Rare Barrel beers: Becoming, Dubious Proposal, Home Sour Home, and the Ales for ALS. They were all very good but I think I leaned slightly toward Dubious and Home Sour Home as my favorites. I gave away my growler of Ales for ALS but it was pretty damn good for a hopped up sour. You really can't go wrong there.

They also had 4 Societe beers on tap so I sampled the Publican and Apprentice.

HEB at Kirkwood/Westheimer has Crasher in the Rye for $7.50 in their clearance rack...... About 6 bombers left

When did Crasher in the Rye release. I never saw it in Fort Worth, but picked one up in CS a few weeks ago.

Nothing earth shattering but a pretty decent DIPA

Founders All Day just now.

Such a solid session IPA. Originally thought it was bad until I started trying more session IPAs.

Probably gonna open up something more exotic in a bit.

Cracked open a *****ly pear that's been in the fridge for months. Just awful. Poured it out and went with a Victory 19th anniversary. Sad this was the last one of these

I just opened vanilla BBH also and I taste a good amount of vanilla. This beer is awesome! Karbach's best release yet. I highly recommend it!

Had this sour. Pretty good. Tight and light.
