i know the lawyer for Jester King. Good guy who really knows his stuff regarding any sort of alochol laws. He's been importing beer and liquor for 20+ years.

On the Live Oak hefe topic, I feel Live Oak hefe is more accurately described as a hybrid between s hefe and a Belgisn wit bier. The taste is more hege while the appearance is more Belgian wit.

I'm going to the one in Portland. It's gonna be hard to stock up though since they're limiting to 3 bottles a person. They may frown on me coming and going every hour or two.

NColorado - I tweeted @deschutesbeer asking about Collage coming to Texas when I got the email announcing it. They replied asking if I had any friends in Colorado, since they would not be sending any to Texas. I would take that as a guarantee some will be sent out that way.

Sweet. I'll keep on the lookout. We may be short on good BBQ in Colorado, but we have no shortage of good beer.

Also, I just asked them on twitter when it would be in stores, and they said the end of next week. I bet CO will have it with in a couple of weeks.

I have a bottle of JK geek rodeo as well. Bought at legacy liquors on 121 the first store past tollway if you are here in N. TX

Bunker HEB got a case last week, but didn't have any last weekend. They had lots of the Petit prince though

I had this the other night. It was really good.

Tonight I've had Hop Stoopid from Lagunitas and a couple of Alaskan Kolsche Summer Beers.





Hop Stoopid is effing fantastic. I love this beer. It is in my top 5. I'm a huge hop head this beer delivers. The bottle says it had 102 ibu's. It is hoppy without being overwhelming. There is a great malty backbone that isn't overpowering and the abv is reasonable at 8%.

This is my favorite ipa. Even better than Stone Ruination.

My favorite of the 4 or 5 Rahr's that I've had by far. Nice and dark but a rich flavor.

Angry goat is great!

I found the beer geek at specs on 75. Had to ask for it.

Jetch, I saw that on BA yesterday. One of the most ridiculous things I've heard. I like how they had the trophy engraved for Brew Dog, but still tried to give it to someone else. I think the big beer co's and importers are feeling the creep of craft into their bottom lines. 6% of consumption isn't much in total, but it has to be affecting their margins at this point. I still don't understand why they don't throw more weight into craft instead of half assing it with Blue Moon, Shock Top, Colorado Native, etc..

Oh well, plenty of great beers out there in those dozen bays next to the BMC.
