That really was good. It was a lot less bourbony than last year's, which was nice. Smoother.

I want strawberry milk stout but you knew that already. And anything maple.

Rockwell Tavern in Houston just tapped a Ranger Creek Strawberry Milk Stout per FB

I would take bourbon barrel stout "pawned off" on me over Summer Pils any day of the year.

Lots of good casks & events in Houston this weekend surrounding TxBeerfest, may have to hit Petrol, Hay merchant or Saucer.

Picked up a bottle of 512 whisky barrel aged double pecan porter at the local twin liquors today. I actually had it last night on draft at the drafthouse and decided to seek out a bottle.

I will say this... it definitely had more whisky flavor than I was expecting. Think I'm gonna save this bottle till the winter...

Edit... If anyone in the Austin area is looking for it... there is a rather large stash at the four points twin liquors.

Seems when I watch that show, there aren't many people in the bar.. like they rope off an area or something. Wonder if they just show up and do their thing, or hang out for most of the day before heading off to the next city.
