Picked up a bottle of BC Vanilla Rye and a 4-pack of regular BCBS this morning. Probably a dumb question, but I've only had BCBS on tap before--do they release the bottles a year after they're bottled? The BCBS has a bottle date of 11/1/13. The vanilla rye is 10/31/14. Not complaining of course, just curious.
What is the year on the bottle label?

I haven't had anything from lone pint other than yellow rose, do the brew a DIPA?
I'm still looking for people in Houston who want to trade something good for Pliny over Xmas. Two Plinys are currently spoken for, but I need to unload another 10 to make it worth the hassle of checking a box each way.

They have Jaberwocky. It's one of the better local DIPAs (besides hop delusion)

However, I'd be interested in anything that is good, hard for me to get, and fits my style preferences. Jester King and Yellow Rose are both intriguing. I prefer IPAs, but will consider other styles, including Sours.

Dude, yellow rose is easy to find in houston. Don't sell yourself short. But if you want to trade a pliny for one, I'd be more than happy to oblige.

NColoradoAg - some people who found those whiskeys at retail or have a stockpile of them may value a bunch of Pliny if they can't get it anywhere. I'd probably throw some cash down on top of 10 Plinys to get a 2014 BTAC. I've only been able to get GTS so far.

10 bottles of Pliny would not trade for 2 bottles of Bourbon County Vanilla Rye if you want to think about it that way.

True. And if someone does want to do that trade, more power to you guys. Someone might trade some nice whiskey for a bunch of sours.
What is an RRBC sour worth in trade vs a Pliny? Is it 2 to 1? If I get lucky I may be able to gather some of those in the next few weeks.
Does anybody know where I can get Founders Big Lushious in Austin? If not does somebody have access to it that would want to trade?
Weighing in on the Yellow Rose vs. PTE...Yellow Rose is great, but if you catch PTE fresh and hitting all the right notes, to me it has that depth and balance that make it worthy of the hype.

I thought it was quite good. I just bought it last month, so no telling how it was stored for the past few years. I never had it before, so I can't compare fresh vs aged, but if I saw another one on the market I would buy it.
It smelled similar to Kosmic Motherfunk, and tasted sort of like Not the Stoic.
