No issue with the standard Vielle, Surette, & St Bretta, and might even find some of the older stuff like winter St Bretta at a few places. However, some of the liquor stores don't stock them. Stick with Coaltrain on the westside, Cheers Liquor Mart, Veterans Liquor, or J&K and you'll be fine.

Trying to fit Bangers in to my schedule.

Pint House still had a 10 of the beer camps on tap. Enjoyed the two I had, but wasn't blown away.

Petrol will have all 12 beer camps on tap next friday (the 8th)

Whatever happened with City Acre?

No idea...as far as I can tell, they are still planning on opening, but I could be mistaken. As I said, the list may include some that stopped moving forward, so if anyone knows anything like that, let me know so I can remove them.

If you want to get ahead of the curve in certain cities...make a brewery in San Antonio or El Paso. They have almost nothing and fairly large populations...

And the breweries that are already here in San Antonio aren't that great, imo

Impressive haul at Russian River by the way.

I had a fair amount of Ferus Fluxus back in February. Both the bottle and canned versions (both the same beer, just different vessels). It was good. Nothing spectacular. Not sure how its doing now 6 months later.

Nice. I have a pipe dream to open a brewery if/when I ever move back to texas and am ready to get out of the rat race. One of the things I've thought about putting together was some kind of brewery per capita heat map of major metropolitan areas to help figure out prime location.

I've seen a lot on that website since I moved here two years ago. So while the list, and yours, seems exciting, just know that a good chunk of them may never come to fruition (lots of home brewers with pipe dreams)
I wanna say city acre was a 'start up' when I left Houston in 2012.

Houston is still a largely untapped market, if not the biggest in US. There is still just like, what 6-7 breweries? With 7+ million metro. That's crazy.

I remember talking to Eric Warner when karbach first opened and he said he moved to Houston to open the brewery because he knew it was untapped. He came from flying dog when it was in denver, and it moved to Maryland and he didn't want to go.

I have not. I've only had a few of their one offs like origins, nightmare, la brett d or sp?. But it's hard to find something they do bad. I'm fixin to hit up the springs beer fest here in a little bit after I get a quick nap in after work.
