Alaskan puts out a good product. Their white ale is probably my favorite. Grab some of their barelywine if it shows up in 22's. Hide it for a year and enjoy.

A agree with the review above on Ugly Pug. More completely, I think the vast bulk of Rahr's year round brews are just average and not really worth seeking out.
Rahr absolutely shines when it comes to their seasonals and specials. Those are worth seeking out.

I think Ugly Pug is a great black lager

Since it has to be asked...how does it compare to your memory of DR11?
It's actually damn close. Like 62 said, the DR had a better depth, but the bomber release retains much of the glory of the DR. Still a tasty DIPA... Will continue to buy through the year (more than I can say about the other Saint A brews, although I still like the seasonals)
Avery Brewing Co.'s Ellie Brown Ale this evening. Very nice brown with hints of chocolate and brown sugar with a smooth, slightly vanilla finish. Got it at Specs and I like it.
Clearing out the winter stash in my beer fridge:

Had an Alaskan Amber and Karbach Weisse last night in Austin. Good to see both of them here.

The owners for Alaskan will be at Saucer Addison tonight for the Dallas kickoff and they will have a pint night as well. FYI.

It's BEER TIME - travel edition
A nicely drinkable Scottish Ale from Odell Brewing. I was skeptical but now very happy I chose it.
Good smooth taste, not too bitter, 27 IBU. Lots of malt to enjoy here. I could throw back a couple of these. Recommend.
