Thank you. I was beginning to lose faith in humanity.

Divine Reserve #12 from the cellar tonight. Really sweet after ~2 years but it does have a nice toffee finish.

Dankosaurus tonight. This is my first time drinking it. It's really good. Tropical citrus flavors.

Had a 5 sour flight with a seared tuna burger. Pretty dang good.

La folie, cuvée (Belgian), any colour you like (Fort Collins), vielle (crooked stave), and a sour apple saison from epic.
Cuvée takes the cake. You just can't beat a flanders ale from belgium.

Then I sampled the 3 Floyd's/new Belgian smoked beer.. Gross.

Then sampled a RR blind pig... Yummy

More sculpin, a Vielle that I brought back with me, a bodacious (really enjoyed that) Johnny walker platinum, little bit of another imperial Texan for me tonight.

Enjoying a Paradox tart darklette. Soured dark ale aged in wine barrels.

Having a bad experience with my first paradox beer about a year ago (totally flat), I am finding out now they are making some great beers. It seems their entire lineup is barrel aged.

Concur. I had the same issue with one of the Skullys but the switch to caps seems to have fixed the issue. They've also gone to smaller more affordable packaging. It's still my favorite brewery in the greater springs area

Going to be back east (specifically Baltimore and Southern MD) for a day or two. Anything specific I should be on the lookout for (aside from Terrapin, Bells, or Bruery) or any good recs for a bottle shop?

DC Brau makes some pretty good stuff. I also recommend DuClaw sweet baby jesus. I didn't think peanut butter and beer would work, but it does in that brew.

Made it to North Coast yesterday. Was kind of a big bag of meh. Glad I stopped in, but I wouldn't recommend going out of your way just for it. Red Seal Ale on Cask was pretty tasty though.

I could see that...North Coast makes some solid beers, but nothing that absolutely blows me away.

They have one of the highest rated RIS. And their two Belgians, pranqster and brother thel. are pretty darn good. I guess I've never had anything else of theirs.

Strat...I know. I guess what I mean -- in this world of big flavored beers, they do not really move the needle. Quality beers, but outside of the Cellar reserve Old Stock and the BA Rasputin, most of their stuff is just well made beer, nothing that evolves a particular style. They are the U2 of beer.

And by no means is that a bad thing. It just isn't exciting.

Agreed with Army. Their **** is good and consistent. It was maybe the first brewery I've been too where I didn't hate a single thing. Everything was good, just nothing that was particularly fantastic. Except for maybe the cask Red Seal. Also, yeah, their Belgians are pretty good.

Don't know if it's been brought up yet, but has anyone else had anything from Oasis in Austin?

Apparently they focus on session beers. Had their Pale Ale, Slow Ride, today and it's really good.

Got my beer fridge Monday. Plugged it in last night. Nothing like spreading all your beer out in a refrigerator by itself to show that you don't have as many things as you thought. Getting a 12 bottles of Jester King on Thursday though so that will fill it out a bit.

Just visited my brother who's VP at Real Ale - looking to expand the grounds by next spring with large biergarten area for concerts, parties, and festivals - and of course their anniversary bash.

Also, Lakewood Growler in Dallas is having a French Quarter Temptress night tonight. Temptress mixed with coffee and chicory.
