I had one last night too, really good pale ale. I really liked the humidor IPA also.

I wasn't going anyways but was trying to get them for a friend. The upside is that his friend manages the production company that organizes the event so he'll get in that way. I just wanted my 8 beers!!!

Found some Stone Go to IPA this weekend. Very light mouthfeel but the hop flavor is still there. 4.5% alcohol makes it a very sessionable IPA.

A 4.5% ABV IPA? What's the point.

I've had the Terrapin Rye Pale Ale and think it's great.

Nah, DLD is an organized cluster****. The only legitimate complaint is long lines to get your bottles but I shared a lot of good beer in the line and jumped out to get unlimited Zombie Dust in between. DLD is ****ing metal.

How was bodacious the first time around? Never had it before and was looking for opinions on it.

I got a sixer of the Stone Go-To IPA, and I gotta say I was not too impressed with it. I love a lot of stuff they do, but there's a particular hop variety (or quantity) in there that was not appealing to me. Not horrible, just didn't think it was as good as some others I'd had of that style (like Founders All Day IPA).

Had my first Clown Lounge yesterday, and wow is that stuff tasty. Really enjoyed it, hope I can find some more to keep in the fridge, I only have one left.

Can't wait to try Bodacious, hopefully it'll be at least a little more accessible than Clown Lounge.

It's really good. You can really smell the rum but the taste isn't overwhelmingly rum. Just excellent really.

I finally tried all the Big Bend Brewing Company beers that they had available this past week on spring break. The #22 Porter is delicious. Their La Frontera IPA is pretty good, too. My favorite, though, was the new Russian Imperial Stout they are calling Marfa Lights. It will only be available in West Texas in 750 ml bottles. The others were just okay, certainly not bad, but nothing remarkable - Terlingua Gold, Big Bend Hefeweizen (nice banana notes), and Tejas Lager. Try them if you're out there.

Atty - we were just out there a week ago. The 22 is damn good. I enjoyed the heffe too, but not as much as the 22.

La Fours - i agree on the BB6. Its not something I'd go out of my way to get again, but I'd definitely have another if the circumstances lined up.
