Just found out my kid's preschool is closed tomorrow (San Antonio). It's on now. Started with a Rampant and Union Jack to grease the wheels. Moved on to a Yeti because it felt right and now I need to figure out what to hit now that it's a done deal....

You Bomb!-drinking *******s. Damn. I wish I'd have held onto one. Oh well. Had some Hop Ranch (good stuff), Sucks, some Old Rasputin, SN Narwhal, and Hop Nosh from Uinta. We'll see what else I get into.

The next batch of Bomb! should hit within a week.

Anybody ever seen/had this?



Guy at liquor store said it was a one and done brew from new belgium with collaboration from patagonia clothing. (not sure how that works)


Also, NB is redoing most of their regular production logos. I dig em. Big change for a company their size.

I like the new logos. The previous redesign was horrible.

NB makes some good stuff. Rampant is an underrated DIPA and is an excellent value.

I read about the NB partnership with Patagonia a while back. I have a few friends that are Beer Rangers for NB and they said it was ok. Interested in your thoughts, 62.

It tastes much like Endeavor, but sold in Sixers and cheaper...excellent beer

Batanga (downtown Houston) has Yellow Rose pints for $1 until 7:00pm tonight. And they have pretty good food, too.

I like the new NB logos. It's tough to see the fat tire label change. That logo, SNPA, and Sam Adams lager are pretty iconic.

Go by La Cave a Bulles in Paris. It's a small beer-only shop with a very cool selection of local and Belgian beers. The owner Simon speaks very good English if your French is as bad as mine is - tell him what you like and he'll suggest something local. Like others from all over the world, we always bring a Houston craft beer or two to trade so you'll often see some interesting things on the shelves. It's a must visit for a beer fan in Paris.

Headed back to Paris on Saturday and hoping I have enough time to do something other than work on this trip. Thinking about bringing a Prairie Noir to trade with this guy but we will see if it makes it in to my luggage.

Oh god that is absurdly dangerous..

Also, I was just in Paris this week and strongly second going to La Cave a Bulles. I brought like 10 Texas beers over there and Simon traded me 10 French beers - and I'm pretty sure I got much better value out of that trade. Awesome selection of Cantillon and Boon and other things too.

If you're looking for a cool beer bar, check out La Fine Mousse over in the 11th. Nice tap selection & cool bartenders that speak English. Reminded me of an American hipster spot.

How are you people going to Paris and not bringing me back truffles????

Me too, but I live ~1.5 hours away from a really good beer store.

Yea, 35 minutes is the closet place with a respectable selection for me, 40 to 45 if I want to hit smith st.

Fresh it's still hoppy with an odd spicy note that's awesome. Aged and the strong malt backbone is overpowering. I don't care for too many standard NB beers, but Rampant is one. Ranger is a waste of Amarillo hops.

Had the Organic Lager and it was meh. I like the Shift for what it is and buy it quite often.

There aren't enough craft lagers around, that's for sure.

It doesn't suck

Today is the first day of "beer club". A monthly blind beer tasting with a bunch of friends. Only the host (me) knows the lineup. This months "theme" is barrel aged...
