Real well. First drink was a very smooth IPA. From then on once it opened up you could really taste the flavors imparted by the wine barrels.
Starting the night with an Evil Twin Hipster Ale. Not sure if my stomach is ready for some hard stuff, this one will be telling of how my night progresses.

Just polished off a Juliet. I hate myself for liking anything AB-InBev owns, but damn. BCBS and the Sisters are so solid.
Had my new Prairie teku glasses waiting on me when I got home from work tonight. Had to use one. I mean I couldn't just let them sit in the cabinet.

No, it's not. It was released a while ago and I don't think it ever made it to Texas... I've got on in the fridge that I need to crack open soon.
Had the Double Dry-Hopped Hopadillo last night, and damn it's tasty!! The extra dry-hop gives it a lot more citrus notes and smoothes it out. I like the original but this DDH version is top notch IMO. Got it at Growlers Montrose but better hurry if you want some, bound to be out today.
Anybody had a Prairie Noir yet? Just picked one up from Specs.

The Noir is very good, the bourbon is subtle, but tasty. Just opened this tonight for myself:
Sucaba is one of my favorite beers. If any of you people ever find yourselves out on the central coast stop by their barrel works tasting room at the brewpub in bulleton. You won't be disappointed. They used to be open only on weekends, don't know if that's still the case.

IPA night continues with my first ever Sculpin.
Having a prairie noir as well. The barrel aging is very faint. Still a good brew.

Velvet Merkin, Temptress, Black Butte porter and some other stuff tonight
Ballast Point has some kick ass brews. Agree that Sculpin is absolutely one of my favorite IPA's right now. Also, I'm sure it's been mentioned, but their "Victory At Sea" Imperial Porter w/ Coffee and Vanilla is amazing.
As I mentioned in my previous post, Karbach's Double Dry-Hopped Hopadillo has more citrus-ey notes, kinda like a cross between their Hop Delusion and Sculpin. Really tasty if you can find it!

I haven't been able to find Karbach in Dallas.
Had the last of the Karbach Hellfighter 007 at Texas Beer Garden in Magnolia last night. You wouldn't mistake that beer for not being aged in bourbon barrels.
