I'm having a North Coast bourbon barrel aged Grand Cru..... One of the worst bourbon barrels ales I've had, and those are always my favorite.... And I still have another one in the fridge

I've been a big fan of the Brooklyn Dark Chocolate Stout. I have 3 2010s and a 4 pack of 2011s stashed away...

It was okay. Nothing special. A little too fruity/sweet for me. If it had a little more bitter to round out the taste, I would have liked it a little more. I liked that the alcohol wasn't overbearing, even with the higher abv.

Uni, what is your 2nd best chocolate stout that compares to Y2x in flavor and creamyness? I don't have a 2nd string for that style yet. Brooklyn BlackChoco is good but Y2x has that lovely top to it.

You really can't go wrong with any of deuschutes offerings but I'd say their Hop Henge & Hop Trip are their top 2 beers.

May have been mentioned earlier, but Central Market (in Houston...not sure on other locations) currently has their beer on sale based on the amount spent:

i honestly can't name another standout chocolate stout that i've had. i just know that young's double on tap was one of the best glasses of beer i've ever had, and i'm normally an IPA guy
