Another Devils Backbone tonight

Any of you DFW folks seeing any of the Prairie beers other than Hop, Ale, Merica, or Funky Galaxy?

La fours - those are the 4 I have seen up here.

Picked up a Valkyrie, Buffalo Bayou Gingerbread Stout, and a Ola Dubh 12 tonight.

I liked Valkyrie better when it was just their pro am. I might have to give it another try to make sure.

That Hop Savant looks awesome.

Had a Brewdog Paradox Isle of Arran (meh) and an Avery 20 (yay) at Hay Merchant. The Brewdog was aged in scotch barrels. Not my kind of BA stout. The Avery 20 was great.

I've heard that from others, but I never tried the pro am 12 so i'm going in clean

Not that this should be a surprise since it's released next Monday, but Karbach will have some of their Cherries of Fire (006) pouring during Monday's tour hours (5-7pm) for anyone interested.

Is Brew Dog Tokyo worth the $13?

I haven't tried it yet, so take this with a grain of salt, but I was talking to Brandon (the guy at D&Q here in Houston) and he said it's really good. It certainly gets good reviews. I'll probably pick one up amidst next Monday's hunting craziness.

Enjoying one myself.

Opened up the love child #3 I picked up last week. I'm kinda new to the whole sour scene. I enjoyed the taste but I should have waited to crack this open when I had someone to help finish it off, 750 ml was a bit to much for me to enjoy by myself.

I throw that on bombers all the time. Plug it right after your first pour and if you don't make it back for that second one it'll keep for 1-3 days.

I see them at most larger liquor stores. I'd be shocked if specs didn't carry them. They're made for wine but work just as well on 22's and 750's. I even used one last night up camping. Drank half a bomber of espresso yeti with my s'mores and finished it off this morning with my muffins. Works like a charm. They key is to put the stopper on immediately. Precious CO2 is quickly lost with each passing moment.

Jetch or BSD will come along shortly and call us ******* for not just finishing the bomber

But for tonight:

I use plastic corks all the time. I posted a link on here a while back. Mine aren't big like that, just a little round cap looking thing. They are used during beer competitions a lot to keep a beer for best of show tasting.

I have a couple and plop one in every time I open a bomber just in case I don't get back to second half.

Had a Westbrook IPA I brought home from Gulf Shores. Pretty dang good. Wish I'd have grabbed more!

I also had their White Thai a couple days ago, and it was solid. Similar to Deep Ellum's Farmhouse Wit.

Had 2 more of the Saint Arnold Icon Gold last night, I'm really diggin' that beer. It's easily the best of their Icon series for me.
