Ballast Point has been in Houston for awhile now. Picked up a bottle in the downtown Specs couple months ago. I've seen it in the The Woodlands area too.

Really? We've had Ballast Point for a year in DFW...

The only Ballast Point I've seen around Houston was Victory at Sea over Christmas. I've heard it's in some surrounding areas, but I haven't seen anything else from them here. If I'm wrong, let me know, I'd love to pick some up.

I had Ballast Point in Puerto Rico last year, it was tasty.

Ballast Point. I hear Sculpin isn't what it used to be, but it's still one of my all-time favorites.

Yeah, last year I was driving from MDW to Bloomington so I stopped by 2 different Binny's and ended up with 3 different bottles (and not one was Dreadnaught). Luckily I had my fair share in Munster the two days after that.

My meeting got out early, so I have some time to kill before heading to the airport. I'm enjoying a Karbach BBA Hellfighter at Hay Merchant. Pretty dang good beer.

Damn I didn't realize 200 came already! I actually had bomber I pulled out of the fridge (rasberry imperial stout) but decided to put it back for a 12 ouncer

BSD - the bar I went to last night had half-price drafts, so I was drinking Dreadnaught for $3/glass.

Stopped in for lunch on the way to the airport in Wichita and caught the Abyss on tap

I've never been to Local Option, but I've been to Map Room many times. It's in my neighborhood. Great bar.

BigAg, I may be at both of those bars on Thursday (and maybe a late night Kuma's).

Kuma's is great. If you can't get in there, try Bad Apple in Lincoln Square. I think I like it a little better than Kuma's, but you can't go wrong either way.

Lockdown is a similar burger concept, and is the place I had the $3 Dreadnaught last night - they have half price drafts every Thursday. It is just over a half mile south of Map Room on Western Avenue. Their burgers are good, but I like B.A. and Kuma's better.

About another quarter mile south of Lockdown is Phil's Last Stand - truly a late night burger spot. Same owner as Lockdown, but just a simple burger stand, but a fantastic one. It is across the street from my place, so I end up there pretty often after late nights out.

Bad Apple is almost next door to Half Acre taproom! Awesome!

Half Acre is right across the street. I actually discovered it looking for lunch after a tour at Half Acre.

Petrol will have 6 Founders on tap tomorrow!

Trying Sixpoint for the first time today. I picked up The Crisp and 3 Beans. Wanted to try Brownstone but my Specs didn't have it.

Also snagged the last 4-pack of Oskar Ten-Fidy.

Does anyone subscribe to Beer Advocate magazine? An annual subscription (12 issues) is only $10 so I figured I'd give it a shot.

SixPoint 3 beans is pretty good. Only one I've had so far by them.
