My local HEB had a few bottles of 3 Fonteinen. Weren't these highly sought after a few years back? Worth the $35 price tag?
First one of a recent purchase.
Recent haul. My second trip to Whip In in Flower Mound. It has quite the selection.
The Eclipse Elijah Craig is rated 4.57 on Untappd which is about as high as I have ever seen.
Excited to try these. Have had the Jester King and Lunch others are all new.

I think $35 is meh considering they show up on tavour at that price every now and again. That said I bought a couple, tasty.
they are still sought after, but not impossible to find. I've passed every time I see it on shelves around Denver. Beer kind of peaks at a price in my mind, and it's definitely below $35.maca1028 said:

That cuts out a lot of good beer. Russian river sours are $16 or so, and that's 375ml! One of the few exceptions to my price point.
I'm also willing to spend that price point on a 375ml, because at least if I wasn't crazy about it, I didn't spend $35, I only spent $17.
I could do $35 for a bomber of that Belgian stuff if I consider the price rate, it is very good. However, I wouldn't want to down the bomber alone and would only purchase if I knew I could split it with at least one other person.
I mainly drink stouts. Plenty of great stouts and BA stouts below that price point so I cant justify spending more.

If you like lambic and you host friends who like lambic then it's not any different than breaking out $35 bottles of wine for an occasion. If that's your wheelhouse then I'd definitely keep bottles on hand. They certainly won't go bad properly stored at home

This was a fun beer. "Dry hopped sour smoothie," but this is a funky sour IPA. Right up my alley. A couple of Asheville breweries collaborating here.
