I know we've had this discussion before, but I can't really fault them for getting PAID.

It'll be interesting to see how they transform with the new ownership. FUN still going to happen? I'd imagine this brings a wider distribution to them as well.

What's funny is a year or so ago we were talking to our management firm whom also represented Karbach. Told us their goal was to get bought. Looks like they achieved that goal.

Karbach sold out? In other news, water is wet. In fact, I'm certain they were created to do that very thing, so mission accomplished. If the rumor mill wasn't enough to convince folks, their business model should have been.

Ballast Point was bought for 1bil. They were like 300k barrels/yr compared to Karbach at around 60k.

With that logic, Karbach's price is $200mil. Given that they don't have the name recognition and distribution that Ballast Point had upon buyout, let's call the deal worth 100-150mil? Does that logic seem sound?

Congrats for Eric Warner. He's got 25+ years in the business, and he moved to Houston specifically to exploit the lack of craft.
He was not from Houston nor has any ties to Houston, other than wanting to grow a brewery and get the very easily obtained (at the time) market share.
