Hitting up the Music City Food + Wine fest this weekend.

Not just wine though, so it's a misleading title. Hoping to find and enjoy some great beer. I know that Blackberry Farms should be there and I plan to saison it up.

In San Diego for the week. Any brewery recs? I've been to Ballast Point, Stone (the mothership), Modern Times, and Alpine before.

Societe was fantastic when we went there on a bachelor party a couple years ago. I also really enjoyed Alesmith on the tour.

Societe for a brewery and Toronado for the vintage bottle list...and Pliny.

Middleton is nice brewery to visit.

Societe is great. Also recommend Mike Hess.

So did the DDG ****show ever get straightened out?

Was out late Saturday night in Austin and stopped by a random gas station by my buddies house off east riverside named Apple Mart. They had a sign that said they had craft beer so I checked to see what they had. Scored a BBT and a Mint Temptress. First ever BBT i found in the wild.

They also had a bunch on BBH and a few raspberry temptress as well as a black butte 26 and some other things that i cant remember. Who would of thought that a small gas station in the sketch side of Austin would have that kind of beer selection.

Yeah. I got 3 bottles, which is ok b/c I only wanted 4 to begin with. Ppl who wanted a full allotment (6) and ended up with 0 might think/say otherwise though.

Used to go (3-4 years ago), but haven't been in the past couple of years. The lines for the special pours started getting way too long and the whole ticket system got stupid. You could basically get 2 special release beers and then had to buy more tickets. Also, why the crap are we having an outdoor beer fest in September in Texas!? /rant

But... Have fun if you're going.

I am leaning towards just going to jester King and checking out last stand brewery instead.
