BG Ramirez is an old Army buddy of a good friend (they were instructors together at the Artillery school at Ft Sill back in the '80s), thus the interest.

This is an old post but I want to point out that as an interim assignment for Gen. Ramirez, there is no need for a replacement at Commandant.
