CBS News report, some nice shots of the plane. It's my favorite pilot's squadron, but she joined them too late to be part of this assignment. Was still nice to see.

CBS News

Another report, focusing on the refueling support. Try not to giggle when the idiot talking heads say that the jets will be "thousands of miles" above the stadium.

And a Facebook album from the Swamp Foxes, behind the scenes shots of the news report

Seeing those F16s flying slow with a high angle of attack to intercept that Cessna reminded me of this...

Columbus AFB did a photo shoot of all their aircraft. Note the T-6s are nose down and hauling @$$, while the T-38s are nose up,

This was always fun! Even worse for the Thuds (F-105)

Thanks! Finished F-16 school in late Nov., additional sim work at Holloman in January, and soon to be checked out as a Swamp Fox.

Wow! That refueling looks painful for the F-4. The trim must be all in.

Thanks. Those are RF-4s too. It was "great" with a load of bombs. They had a procedure called a Toboggan where the KC-97 would push over to accelerate just to keep flying air speed for the F-4. It was even a bigger problem for the F-105s
