Are cadets that take a contract still getting $100/month? Or has that been adjusted? That's what we were receiving in the 80s (which ironically went a long way at the Chicken when Lone Star was .86 cents a can); I don't remember what my Dad said they received (Class of '57).

We got $50 per month my Junior year (69-70 school year) and they increased it to $100 my Senior year (70-71)

Somewhere around $200 a month in 2000. I think I got maybe $300 as a senior. But yeah, still went a long way at the Chicken or the Hall of Fame.

Newly contracted cadets get I think $420 a month. It used to be based on your MS level, the higher, the more you got. Starting this last year, and going forward, all contracted cadets will get the same amount. Those already contracted still get the old level.

I think I remember all that right. Edit is below for the old amount. The current amount is $420 for all MS levels.

1st year, $300 per month
2nd year, $350 per month
3rd year, $450 per month
4th year, $500 per month

Second edit: this is for Army cadets. I have no idea about the other programs.

That 125 a month used to be my fun money. Man, did it save me from having no money during those years!

Truth. The $50 I got in my day was a lifesaver.

1950 = $27.50 - probably the same in '57 .

Adjusted for inflation:

$27.50 in 1950 = $287.60 in 2018
$50.00 in 1970 = $324.79 in 2018
$100.00 in 1971 = $622.32 in 2018
$200.00 in 2000 = $292.73 in 2018
