Good video, thx for sharing. Hard to argue with, and thats why no one in germany seriously considered it.

Total air superiority was a prerequisite and the germans just didnt vision for it.

They should have gained use of the french and italian fleets and shut down gibraltar and the suez, convinced the turks and japs to pivot through the mideast and taken the crimea and southern russian oil fields, and kept japan from poking the us for another year or two, and they might have had a chance to win a ceasefire.

I recall reading a while back that it was a bad idea simply b/c the Germans didn't have enough landing craft to actually invade the UK.

(Haven't watched the video so not sure what point was made)

Perfect example of Sea Lion failing is the North Africa campaign. The Germans could not keep the Afrika Korps sufficiently supplied because of RN dominance in the Mediterranean.

I have said this previous post. The RN would have sunk every ship they had to defend the home isle. There is also a very large elephant in the room. Who is to say that the Americans would not have intervened?
