Navasota Junior High is in search of a military, or former military, personnel that can come and speak to the 6th grade students on Monday, April 16th.

NJH is launching Boot Camp for STAAR Review, which is a 4 week intensive review of the TEKS prior to the test. The school is requesting that a military representative speak to the sixth grade students and explain the importance of boot camp and how it prepares soldiers for battle. We would like to compare the STAAR boot camp to the boot camp the soldiers undergo before battle.

The presentation will begin at 8:00 AM and you would have anywhere from 10 to 15 minutes to discuss bootcamp and its importance.

Did this with Gunny Cheatham last year as a cadet and it was really a great experience. The kids LOVED IT!! Gunny Cheatham did a great job of tying everything together and had the kids screaming and yelling encouragements to each other. Definitely a major positive for the Corps!
