I haven't heard all the details, but it must have been more than just a hard landing for them to totally destroy it.

Everybody recovered. Good ending minus the aircraft. Aircraft are replaceable, people aren't.

Give me a Blackhawk or Chinook any day of the week and twice on weekends. I know some marines who are scared shytless to board that aircraft, and I can't say as though I blame them.

And now the Army is in cahoots to possibly get its own version.

I guess the % of problems versus the number of flights is still fairly low, considering the environment.
This wasn't a good start to a new rotation.
