I just got a house under contract this afternoon. Should get the signed agreement shortly.

My realtor was a complete amateur (wife's best friends brother who primarily is a pilates inspector) recommended two inspectors, but if they're anything like him, they're grossly underqualified.

First time home buyer, built 1989, really good shape, 2,250 SF, $375-$400k price range, 4 sides masonry.

Who do you recommend?

I've had Paul DuBois do a couple of homes. He is very detailed and walks you through the home verbally and then with a thorough report. Very strong on electrical.

He is almost too over zealous when it comes to deficiencies; however, I preferred that.
