I will be in San Antonio for a conference next weekend/early next week.

I am trying to plan an informal gathering/happy hour for our group. We are there for a conference at the convention center, with most people staying at the Marriott Rivercenter, Marriott Riverwalk, or the Hyatt.

I am looking for someplace casual, mostly just drinks/appetizers (not sit down), for approximately 15-20 people to meet at on Sunday evening. Ideally it would be somewhere that everyone could walk to from their hotel.

Any ideas?

The Menger Bar is historic and really cool

I second that one, but I don't think there's food available.

There's a nice bar and outdoor patio at the Grand Hyatt or take a walk over to Zinc or The Esquire.

Zinc has a nice little hidden outdoor patio. None are bottom budget places though. Then again, nothing really is down there that is decent.

Sunset Station maybe. It's been a while since I've been there.

Bar America is worth looking at. Would be a walk but not touristy.

There is also a Yardhouse and Margaritaville next to the hotels that were mentioned.

Yardhouse is good but kind of generic. Me get will be more memorable.

Mexican Manhattan on Soledad has a full bar and a patio that you can reserve part of for events. Give them a call.
