Looking for a new barbershop preferably near Stone Oak. Need a place with good quality and don't mind driving a bit.

Yvonne at the Parlour gentleman's barber near the Alon H-E-B...Wurzbach and NW Military. She's a cool lady and gives a quality cut, wash and shave.

Dre Daniels at Sideburns barber shop at 281/Evans across from Gold's Gym. He's great and you can book online on Booksy to avoid walk ins since he's usually fully booked.

I started going to Yvonne at The Parlour based on the recommendation of this board.

Yvonne at the Parlour is okay, but Nghia (prounounced knee) and Nghieu (Noo) do a really great job too. Nghieu is my barber and has been for 2 years. Make sure you call ahead.

She's alright and I used her while Yvonne was out...had no idea she went by Noo.

Yes, the beans; spill them.

I've been there off-and-on the past 8 years, and have not heard or seen anything which would have me question what was going on behind the scenes. Ol' George may have had some staff years ago where some "behind the scenes" shenanigans were feasible/expected/happening, but until he sold out last year, none of the staff there would ever have me wondering about the possibilities outside of a haircut.

Won't be going into detail here. It's just a few stories I heard about that place back in the day.

I didn't want to hear it anyway. Probably pretty lame.

Just called The Parlour for an appointment and they said Yvonne doesn't work there anymore.

Well that's not good. I just saw her a week ago

Just spoke to Yvonne. She did, in fact, leave. She's moving to NY and is starting the process of packing and all that stuff.

She said Nora (who was across from her) does good work and recommended her.

Carl has been my barber for 20 years. Joey & Carl are awesome, but make an appointment for a Saturday 'cut.
