I have heard good things about rosarios fajitas though. Haven't tried them yet.

If you want some authentic Southside flair then Pollos Asados Los Norteos off Rigsby not only makes great while chickens but Beef and Chicken Fajitas are legit.

last time I had Chacho's they were better than I thought they would be and you can't go wrong with some strong margaritas . I'm not a fan of lupe tortilla but have only been once.

Having moved to town less than a year ago I appreciate all these "best of the best" threads. Keep 'em coming.

Agree with both. I was shocked at how good theit brisket is. I just can't get past the cleanliness issues I've seen and read about.

Meh. Wait a week after inspection reports and they will be spotless for the re inspection

Seriously, is this still a thing? It's not hard to make great fajitas in your back yard. Why not have a contest for the best peanut-butter-and-jelly joints in town? If you want to talk salsa, that's a different story. My advice for a good fajita restaurant? Go with 70 percent of the recommended restaurants in town and they are all within 20 percent of the same quality in San Antonio. Fajitas are fajitas. And yes, there's an occasional restaurant that can't even get that right. Maybe it's best to call out the one's that fail in this most basic essential of tex-mex.

Just a few more posts and we'll have listed every restaurant in town.

The heb pre packaged fajitas are pretty good if you cook them right not sure what all the hate is about

We had the brisket tacos from Chacho's when we were there in April. Very, very good brisket.

The best thing about chachos is that no matter which one you go to, someone will say "no way, dont go to that one, youll got shot or stabbed!"
