The view at stone oak is great. Margaritas are on point. Food is ok. But if he wants "fancier Mexican" that's his best bet

My go tos when I'm back in town are always Paloma Blanca (Heights) or Rosarios (South Town). Paloma Blanca is probably the most upscale out of any place mentioned on here. Nice atmosphere and some expensive dishes but many of the dishes won't break the bank.

I'm kidding. Haven't had Acenar in some time. I always like El Mirasol but it's been awhile there as well.

Honestly, I tired of Mexican food about 5 years after moving here. My kids gripe about it and my wife doesn't even crave it much anymore.

Lupe Tortilla is ok. Definitely not nice by any stretch but a decent place. I hate their crappy flimsy tortillas. Beef fajitas are good.

Pappasito's is my favorite; I know that will get you crucified on texags, but damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!!

La fonda on Main is also decent...I love down the street from Paloma blanco and it's our go to for "nice" Mexican...but cascabel is the best in the city

El Mirasol is very good. There's a new location in Castle Hills that's nice.
