It's a bit old, but your budget is a good one and should get you most places in town... depending on priorities/wants/needs.

Heads up, the San Pedro-410 intersection is a freakin mess at peak hours. You'll want to find a "back way" into your office if you can.

Mess don't describe it. Couple weeks back the lights at Rector **** the bed and it was on.

MacArthur Park (410/Nacogdoches). Been good for us anyway. Probably at the low end of your price range though.

Castle Hills
Deerfield (plus Woods of Deerfield, etc.)
Blanco Bluffs
Canyon Creek Bluffs
Mission Ridge
Oakwood

and even The Vineyard will be an easy commute using Blanco to Lockhill Selma to San Pedro.

I have 2 friends and now my sister that live in that neighborhood. It's a hidden gem, especially as Northwood across the highway has gone a little nuts with the prices.

It's starting to get a bit younger too. More 30-something's and young families moving in including us. Much more affordable than northwood.

Vista del norte neighborhood off of blanco road. Best value in N. central SA. Great neighborhood.
