You mean the fact that they are still in business but you never see anyone there?

I tried it once when I first move to SA back in2008 and was doing some work on the Southside. Frozen fish from the grocery store would have been better.

There was a yelp review several years ago where someone with way too much time staked out a Fred's and counted the customers during lunch. He speculated it had to be a money laundering scheme.

Yeah, in no way could it be legit. Never any traffic.

Never been and never plan on it even on a dare.

Cheap fish and very cheap chicken "burgers" for $0.99 are the key component of this place staying in business. Lent is when they have their big sales which apparently helps them last the whole year. And they keep growing haha, all over the place.

i did a project with fred one time. they have a lot of money.

I have always wondered about that place. I worked right down the road from there and I never saw anybody there. People told me they made all their money during lent season.

There is a Chinese restaurant across the street from the Frost Bank Building downtown that is always empty, but has been open for 20 years. Gotta be something funny going on.
