Long story short, we purchased a home with a pool that appears to have pex pipe for the returns instead of pvc. No issues or leaks that we know of. I've read horror stories of termites eating through pex pipe. There is significant landscaping around the pool so I'd rather not trench it. Would the bait stations around the pool be a good option to try and keep termites at bay?
We had a termite inspection before purchasing and there were no signs of recent termite activity if that means anything. We also live in corpus and have the typical hard clay/gumbo soil.
I'd appreciate any tips to try and keep them at bay/ease my mind.
Edit to add I'm not opposed to paying a company to do the work. I'm planning on having two or three companies come out and give me their recommendations. I just always appreciate TexAgs input.
