The ideal would be a small Residential Architect/firm that has time/interst to serve but
all I can offer is https://www.houzz.com/professionals/architect/spring-tx-us-probr0-bo~t_11784~r_4733624
until someone with a past experience like yours offers their solution first hand.

Most will not do a site visit without a retainer but do offer the 1st meeting in their studio ... or virtually if quarantined or distant travel is a problem.

Personally, I have not found website closet designs any help. Specialty closet "pros" are more focused on their products' profits than clients' lifestyles. I agree with bath design coupled in, one architect for both will use teh space & resources to best suit your wishes.

My firm does this state-wide but only virtually via email, pdfs, jpgs, et al. but understand those that must do the face-face, as we used to do for decades (locally in Aggieland). Others, we've never met but posted 5-star reviews after living in their new houses for a spell. Entire house remodels have also been totally virtual with only builder sketches, photos & dimensions in hand. Thus, you might find someone nearby that can offer both in face-face and virtual services. Your photos and dimensions would help your design ideas folder a lot and speed things up.

This - wife and I just met with two interior designers here in Dallas. Every visit has a cost. Think initial visit was $600 and then overall fee for one space was $5-8k, which included like 4 onsite visits and one revision. So we were expecting $12k to design our bathroom and closet space.

Our contractor said he didn't need an interior designer, let's hope this works out.
