I just had a tenant at a house I property manage call and say that there was water leaking from the ceiling at her house. Figured out pretty quickly that the cause was a cracked toilet bowl on the floor above. I vaguely remember hearing about these things, but now know a lot more. Per the two contractors I spoke with today, these things are time bombs. If you have them, get rid of them ASAP. You may even qualify for their class action lawsuit money depending on when your toilet was manufactured. Think homes built between 2000 and 2015 or so.
