Does anyone have experience with these? We're building now and are thinking we should add some plugs in our patio ceiling to be able to add these in the future. Any recommendations?

Do you have natural gas service? I'd go with gas heaters over electric if possible.

most folks up here (Utah) use gas for patio heat. If electric you'll want 220

Ah. We'll be on propane. Don't want to pay to add more 220s.

We'll stick with portable propane heaters.

Electric ones aren't worth it. We did the 220s and put 3000w heaters up and they don't do much at all.

Natural gas ones are expensive as hell. Should've just gone that route but oh well.

There are ceiling mount propane heaters. I technically sell these (I work for a distributor). I don't have a ton of experience with them, but I don't mind reaching out to get any specs or local pricing.

We have a 26x24 patio and have two Infratech 6000 watt heaters mounted. Each covers about a 120sqft area pretty well. It is infrared heat so no matter the wind etc you will have heat. We will install one more to fill the gap between the two. These require 240v

Thanks for all the info. We've got months to determine what we'll do.

We sat outside at Union Bear in Plano last night and the bromic heater was sweet.

I had 2 6000 Infratech heaters in North Texas, they were great and I had no complaints
