I'm building a new house and want to double check some numbers. Anyone on here able to create a quick takeoff for me if I provide the floorplan?

This used to be a lumber yard free service - has this changed?
It's not wise to trust CADD software for such a job, so many details omitted.

If you have determined your source for lumber, they should be able to provide a takeoff.

We used McCoys(within last 6 months) and I believe they charged a couple hundred, and credited it back once we purchased materials. Multiple lumber yards we checked with prior to building no longer do takeoffs. In fact, this was one reason we went with McCoys tbh.

Worked in the lumber business for almost 5 years and did hundreds of take-offs there. Been out of the game for awhile but I can probably get pretty close.

If all you have is a floor plan, an accurate takeoff will be difficult. Better with elevations and roof plan.

We provide, and most yards will too, the service for free as long as you buy the package from that yard.
