Anyone having trouble with sourcing this at a reasonable price? Our builder's long-term supplier starting gouging them. They're struggling with finding an alternate supplier (Canyon Lake area). Just curious to hear what folks are encountering. This a custom build.

Always your architect would be a good source of referrals and has insider knowledge of your taste & house style.

Design/build firm so that's not an option.

Railing has gotten stupid expensive.

Lots of different kinds of railings... wood, cable, round bar.
Would help to know what you are looking for

NOT a DIY project and only CODE required if the finished grade is a 30" or more drop.
A majority of my design clients have been avoiding these on porches; better to buy more fill and grade it up higher ... also benefits foundation performance and perimeters runoff away.
