Weatherford doors might diagnose correctly and "have a guy"
"Sticking" brings to mind "rubbing", the cause being a door NOT painted/sealed on a 6-sides in this humid zone of Texas. Otherwise "rubbing" rarely cause by inferior grade studs that kink or crook (into the door's free space).
Usually it's a deformity in the track or hardware, as you suspect .... even if only lint, dust, fallen insulation, wood shard obstacles.
Most builders - even custom-only - twist my arm to avoid designing these when other options cause fewer "call backs" that waste their time ....
Consider pop-bi-folds if a solution is not easily found or the problem may obviously arise again.
A few in your situation have opened up this doorway into the hollow wall in order to introduce
