I have a bathroom remodel project which involves a new window. It seems difficult to find one from Lowes or Home Depot that matches what we need. We can get one, but it's about 5 or 6 weeks to get it in.

I have brick on the exterior, so it cannot be for new construction.

Any ideas on window companies within a few hours drive from Houston that might have something?

Rather than trying to find a replacement window where the glass is already translucent, just put in a regular glass replacement window (48"x48" is a very common size), and then go on Amazon and search "window privacy film". You will find a bunch of translucent vinyl applications that you can put on the window to allow light in, but won't be able to see clearly through. As a bonus, your wife can pick whichever pattern she likes best, and the window will be "pretty".

For example, this is what I put on my bathroom window after replacing it with a regular clear glass window:

And as said above, it doesn't have to be a "replacement" window. If you get vinyl, you can buy an "new construction" window, easily cut off the nail fin, and install it just like a replacement window.

Yeah the name is weird, but the product works well. Easy to apply, been on a couple years now and still looks great.

It may need to be tempered as well. I doubt anyone would have that sitting on the shelf.

What's the difference between frosted and tempered?

Tempered is for safety.

It'll break into thousands of pieces if it breaks, not dangerous knife like shards.

If it's near a sink, shower or tub it needs to be tempered in case you slip and hit it so that you don't cut yourself.
Lead times are coming down though. I'd check with a window company and see if you can order one through them. There will be a better chance of getting exactly what you want instead of trying the big box store.
