Looking for recommendations on cleaning exterior of windows. All one story, so no issues with not being able to reach. In a 1 year old house so a lot of dirt accumulated from the job site. TIA

Hose it down with a garden hose to get the worst of it off, then a few cans of sprayway glass cleaner? Don't think you would need anything special here unless I'm misunderstanding the question.

In my opinion nothing works better than a squeegee. No streaks once you learn how to use it. YouTube is your friend.

Wife has claimed she has done this - mostly with glass cleaner like you would inside. Doesn't seem to be working but maybe she needs a man to do it.

Thanks. We are regular users of the squeegee for the shower so that makes sense.

I did this last summer, first time cleaning them since I bought my current house almost 5 years ago. I had a lot of built-up, baked-on grime and dirt. Someone here (I think) suggested using WD-40. Spray the windows and then use a razor blade scrapper. That really made quick work of getting all of that stuff off. After that, I used a squeegee/sponge (2-in-1) to clean with soapy water. Go over it all with the sponge side then squeegee off. Fairly quick and easy.

Thanks! I actually remember the WD40 suggestion on here now that you mentioned it.

"Windex outdoor all in one" cleaning system is no fuss, no muss! Got ours from Ace Hardware but best ordered online. Basically comes with preloaded pads, a lightweight telescopic pole the pads fit. Wet windows. use pole and pads on glass, rinse and move on.
Cleaner rinses, dries streakless and needs no rags or paper towels

Professional window cleaners use water and a drop or two of dish soap. Not joking. Scrub on and squeegee off.

This.

The harder part is cleaning the dirty screens. I didn't want to risk damaging them with the pressure washer, so I filled the bathtub with hot water and a little dish soap, scrubbed them down. It made a huge difference in the quality of the view.
