That's a link to the handle for my drawer freezer. The plastic brackets at each end broke. I have no trouble finding the handle for sale (anywhere from $50-100) but at that cost, I'll do without a handle. I've been searching for just the bracket but without any luck.

Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?

Parts are stupid expensive most of the time. Check ebay? We just had to buy a replacement door for a samsung range - tenant broke glass - It was close to $400 with shipping (don't care - comes out of deposit) but there were some used ones on ebay for a lot less.

You might search thingiverse or other 3d printing sites. It likely would be pretty easy to model and print but there are people that their whole business is printing common failure appliance parts.

Until a metal part is found, seems like the fix - if any - remains with buying the $$$ part but then installing it with extra reinforcement to prevent breakage. Reinforcement could be epoxy/etc. adhering glues, other ideas.

+ lithium grease or better on the glide rails

+ less weight inside drawer

+ a large sign DO NOT STAND ON THIS BAR

I wonder if this is a common problem with this style ref?
