Here are our current bathrooms, there are 2.

Thinking about new countertops, replace all the gold fixtures, new mirrors, move lights, paint cabinets and walls. Basically everything but keep tubs and tile as is.

The wife really like this sort of style but with nickel hardware ()

Can we swing it with our off pink tile? It is a subtle pink with some white and gray tones. Trying to avoid replacing it at this time. Not ready for cost or having to consider other parts of the house because the same tile exists elsewhere.

Is there a place we can go to see styles we might like? Open houses of new builds? Big box stores didn't seem to have much

I'll do a majority of the work but probably sub out countertop install and couple other things.

In north Houston there is a design tech homes location with lots of models. You pay a fee to go into the models.

I am sure other cities have something similar.

I'm in SA so I'll look for something similar to that

The pinkish square tile with thick grout lines is going to always stand out in your bathrooms especially after you do the other updates. I think the current wall color is likely toning the pink down, but if you go white/light walls and white/light cabinets that tile is going to be much pinker.

What I would do is:

- Keep the cabinet color. Natural wood look is currently very much in style. Could sand/stain if you want, but not necessary I think.
- Fix the mirror/light situation in the one bath
- Paint the walls a lighter color
- Replace fixtures
- Go with a white color counter top and new sinks
- Remove the step in front of the one tub
- Replace pink tile with a waterproof stone look SPC over top such as this which would be easy to self-install and replace later if/when you update the other pink tile later: https://www.republicfloor.com/true-grout?pgid=kqkt1fq7-444a90a2-977c-4504-a30a-c2281239b9b5

Flooring guy at Lowe's said the same thing about just slapping LVP on top of the tile, might run the numbers on that

that is what poor people do. finish your floor correctly or the rest of the room will always be subpar.

Agreed. You won't be happy with the results in the long run. Do the tile!

I recently did our laundry room and had never done any kind of tile work. There is a learning curve but once you get the hang of it it is very easy. I bet the first room will take 3 times as long as the second room because you will have it down.

Buy or rent a rotary hammer drill with a floor scraper blade to remove the tile and then pour a leveling compound.

My LVP recommendation is a hold over until he's wanting to replace the rest of the pinkish tile as would be cheap/easy and look much better than existing floor.

If he's not wanting to do anything to the floor, I wouldn't do anything to the rest of the bathroom until addressed for reasons noted in my post above.

Love the tile floors
Agree with wife
Hate the pink shower-tub color; everyone should have a jetted tub IMHO

Good luck
$12k per bath + 4 weeks?
Ten words or less ... a goal unattainable

Thanks. Probably going to see what they look like once the rest of the project starts coming along

The shower isn't actually pink at all, the color on that picture is way off. It's actually very white with those 2 hi horizontal lines being off gray. Strange how link it looks though lol

Should be a little lower than that since we're able to keep the cabinets and such

Definitely not poor.

We won't be here too much longer and will eventually roll this into our rental portfolio so I don't intend on shelling out to re-tile all the pink tile in the house at this time. Would include kitchen, entryway, etc.

Yeah I took it as such. I want considering that the LVP would be the end all on those floors

Yikes, I hope it's not $24k for countertops, fixtures, mirrors, lights, paint cabinets and walls. DIY I think you can do $6k all in easy. Countertops selection the big factor there.

Cabinets, tile, paint, hardware, plumbing and lighting fixtures, shower tile surround to the ceiling with niche, shower glass, and a mirror of reasonable size (spans both sinks) where both people can see effectively whilst standing in front of their respective sink, and necessary demo of all. Don't skimp. Either do it all the way or keep saving until you can. No LVP in a bathroom.
Hardware color is personal preference but black sure sets things off with the aesthetic of the picture you posted.
