I'm looking for a new dishwasher and want a Bosch, but I am having trouble finding a Black 300 series. Half the Bosch dishwashers I look up aren't available in any finish. What gives?

If they're made in Germany, it's probably because the price of energy has gone crazy there since Russians invaded Ukraine and some manufacturing is no longer profitable. Some manufacturing has also been shut down to save gas so that the people don't freeze this winter.

Not sure what the problem is if they are made somewhere else.

Things may have changed but our 3.5 year old Bosch was Made in USA of US and imported parts.

Most of their dishwashers are made in North Carolina. Also, Bosch has been having issues since far before the Russian invasion.

We ordered a 36" Bosch range for a remodel about a year and a half ago (wife got a large discount through a work partnership if we ordered direct). After several delays, the last one pushing it back at least another 6 months, we eventually just canceled and got a F&P.

Call Bosch CS and ask about shipments. Otherwise if you REALLY want a Bosch just go with stainless. They seem to be available. Great dishwashers.

My inlaws waited and sought out a Bosch dishwasher for years... finally got one as a "holy grail" appliance. Thing is a POS an lasted 4 years. FWIW

We've done MUCH better with Kitchen-Aid
beginning with much better interior designs for cleaning
and equal/better to German engineering guts (IF a similar filter - no toy grinder as of old times)

Consumer Reports is very good on reporting repairs, noise, etc.
but never has been about Cleaning = why we buy DWs & clothes washers ... using our non-NYC water.

I will second this. I was originally considering a Bosch dishwasher, but I ended up going with a Kitchen-Aid, and it has been rock solid for 2+ years so far.

Bosch is still the king of dishwashers that don't have legs.

Always remember to leave dishes dirty, refill the rinse aid, and use the finish quantum tabs and you'll never have an issue.

They have had supply chain and delivery issues for quite a long time now. They are in high demand as well. They are difficult to find anywhere. When we were finishing our house last year our builder said they were completing homes and people were moving in without appliances. Having to wait a couple of months without or use rental appliances. We have Bertazzoni and didn't have an issue, but they were secured way early.

Mine has done well but I'm having E24 errors occasionally.

I like my Miele, but the lights inside stopped coming on at around 8 years old.

Took 8 or 9 months to get ours through Lowes. If yours still works just order and wait.

It works, but it is on its last legs. I think it's maybe 10 +years old. It came with the house, and we've been in it since 2015. It wasn't remotely new when we moved in, either. The door seal was going out, so it has been repaired with duck tape. Last week I was getting errors with the panel and had to reset it twice. I may just order.

That's the 18 inch ADA. It's a little shorter and doesn't fit the standard 24" space.

Dishwasher started throwing an error code again last week. Looks like the vent was stuck open. I said,"**** it. If I'm pulling it out, I'm getting rid of it."

Gave up on Bosch and decided to go with KitchenAid on TexAgs recommendations. Thought we found one we liked at Lowe's (in black), but we were cautioned that the estimated 30 day delivery was likely optimistic since they didn't have it in stock. Looked around and found it by at Best Buy. Got it delivered today and just finished installing it. Looking forward to doing dishes tonight.

While disconnecting it, I found that the last homeowner, or whoever wired it in, did something wrong because the black wire nut was completely melted. I'd have to look again, but I think they wired the ground with it. How it still worked is beyond me.
