Does anyone clean their own windows? What have you used to get built-up film off? I know you can find suggestions for a mixture of vinegar & water plus dawn dish soap. It's the same thing I use to clean my shower glass. It does not seem to be doing a thing to break down the film coating some of my windows, though. I'm sure the fact that it's warm out and dries really fast is not helping. Anybody have any suggestions on cleaners they've had success with (homemade or store bought)?

I use dawn and hot water, and don't do the windows when they're hot/in the sun.

WD-40 works. Seriously.

Yeah, I figured that out pretty quickly. Much better to do in the spring / fall with cooler temps.

This is the way. Then use it on all your stainless steel appliances.

Stoner's invisible glass with a magic eraser

Then spray again and remove the grime with paper towels

Last pass spray again and use a microfiber cloth

Ok, the WD40 worked awesome! Just coated the windows and scrapped with a 4" blade scrapper, everything came right off. Then just washed it with soapy water using this scrubber - squeegee combo that I have. It made really quick work of them.
