My mom is not able to do this herself or am I able to do this for her. I was wondering if anyone had this done lately or does this on this board? She needs to do several rooms or the whole house. would would the price be on a 15x15 room or 20x20.

Located in Brenham so if anyone on here does this looking at getting bids but the price on the size rooms above would be a help.

Thanks

"The Money Pit" podcasts have addressed this problem many times

When the outage/updates are resolved later, the above link will work for you.

I might begin at your top-rated paint store, armed with photos to see which of their regulars might do this work that they would trust in their own homes.

Doesn't take that long to remove popcorn and who knows if the old popcorn is adhering well. After the popcorn has been removed I'd skim coat to hide imperfections.

Eh, two ways to skin a cat. I'd say if it's lasted this long its probably adhered pretty well. If it was my house I'd skip the extra cost or removing popcorn and skim over everything.

I would never advise skimming over popcorn. I've seen the texture fall off just from people attempting to paint it with a roller. Apply more moisture and weight than a coat of paint is playing with fire especially if it is original and over 20 years old

This. Asbestos could be an issue.
